I regard fashion as the interface between self-awareness and a
screen for the projections of the individual. The photos live from
the tension between the “clothed” heads of the hat-wearers
and their naked bodies. I am less interested in the representation
of a body culture reinforced through trends, and more in physicality
as a multiplicity of biological facts, individual ideas and personal
ways of life...
allow oneself to wear an extraordinary hat and nothing else is
a part of this self-image...
