which is generally experienced and lived in our society as valid,
as the truth, as the basis and the norm is strongly fashioned
by the Christian/catholic tradition (with the crucifix as a logo
that can hardly be beaten in its effectiveness)....
the other hand, you cannot ignore the influence of the media,
opinion leaders, stars and headlines on people’s
consciousness... and this from all relevant public fields (politics,
economics, science, art, sport...) and from the private sphere
of finding and maintaining individuality and thus (it would seem
more and more) identity...
